Musk’s xAI teams with Palentir to help banks go all in with AI

The newly merged xAI combination of x (formerly Twitter) and X.ai [maybe in honor of square day, we should call it x-squared] has announced a new partnership with Palantir and TWG to redefine how banking and financial services will adopt AI across their entire enterprise.

This could have significant implications for that industry as well as many of its customers — probably you too.

An interesting sidebar — Palantir was co-founded by Peter Thiel, whose biggest claim to fame was as co-founder of PayPal. More precisely, his founding team created Cofinity to do payment processing and later merged it with X.com to create PayPal, which has become one of the largest payment processors.

It probably isn’t lost on you that X.com’s name is similar to X.ai, which was similar to the former Twitter-turned-X. That’s right. Elon Musk is a crucial person in all of them.

So the new partnership between X.ai and Palantir represents Musk’s company and Thiel’s company working together again — and is a partnership whose partners has deep experience in the financial processing industry.

What comes around goes around — even right after square day.

What’s “new” with Outlook might not be what you want to use

A few years ago, Microsoft started to release the “New Outlook” in pieces. Only problem is that the NEW Outlook isn’t as good as any other recent version of Outlook — and frankly, it may be a while until it is.

But to get people to switch, they’ve recently been making the default on new Windows computers — so if you buy a PC or laptop with Windows 11, you might get the less endowed version when you really want the one you’re used to using — and which has more to offer than the new one.

You may be lucky enough to see a toggle on your tool bar.

Previously it had been labeled “New Outlook” and you had to turn it on. But you now see that it says “Legacy Outlook” which is the one that you want on.

Here’s what it looks like in the top border of many versions of Outlook. If yours says “Legacy Outlook”, make sure it’s on to get the full Outlook. If yours says “New Outlook”, turn it off to acheive the same outcome.
